The black dogs baring teeth and mean looking eyes is a subconscious ploy that is trying to get you to face your fears and anxiety about a subject. The interpretation that is available is that you have either been involved with half truths or you have been under extreme stress resulting in your own inability to cope. The reason you wake up sacred is that you are suffering from a form of night terror, your lucid dream in which you physically have been trying to face your fears--the dogs represent your fears and anxiety--has your heart rate pumping, loss of sleep and added cognitive anxiety will heighten the dream state causing it be more realistic, the way to diminish your dream or control it while in the sleep state and in the dream physically you need to repeat to yourself that it is only a dream and take control, it is your subconsious mind trying to help you face your demons, please be aware that controlling the dream will take some time. If your interested in ending the dream you have to physically in the conscious world figure out what your internal stressors are, why you feel that you are not meeting your own self expectations and how you would rectify that situation will help diminish the dreams. Please be advised if the dreams continue you should see a sleep specialist as the dreams will continue to cause a disturbance in your sleep pattrens resulting in deprevation. Good Luck

Ferocious black dogs - like all dream symbols - can mean different things to different cultures and even different individuals, depending on each values.
So you'll need to consider that aspect.
A universal aspect of dreams, does however exist: When we're in a wakeful state of conscious, our rationality, defined as the capacity to understand, is constantly interpreting stimulii bombarding the physical body. These stimulii we interpret as sound, sight, smell etc.
But in a SLEEP state of consciousness, the body doesn't have the benefit of this faculty of interpretation. But the body is still being bombarded by stimulii from the environment.
For example, if you're sleeping by an open window and your body got a drop or two from a rain drizzle, you might dream you're in a violent hurricane.
So consider if you may have heard or seen dogs barking while you were asleep, or even if you may have seen dogs during the days of the dreams.
Peace,
Well-wisher

Dog
dream interpretation
meaning of dream
Dogs in dreams could symbolize a large variety of ideas and concepts, but mostly they are symbolic of the dreamer's defensive structure and may represent personal boundary issues. Carefully consider all of the details and the mood in your dream. First, if you have a dog, it may be natural to dream about him. We become emotionally attached to our dogs and we dream about them just as we dream about anything else that is important to us. Otherwise, dogs could symbolize loyalty and hard work. If someone calls you a dog, it is a negative reflection on your personality. If you are being treated like a dog, you are most likely being abused in some way. On the metaphysical level, dogs are consider to be the guardians of the underworld. Finally, dogs could represent the more basic or "animal" parts of our nature and some think that they specifically represent male energy.

you're having a reoccurring dream.there is something really wearing on your mind. if you have this dream again try taking control of what's going on. open your eyes, yell at the dogs, get off of your bed, jump up and down and bark back at them . do something to change the dream and see what happens. if you can fly away or call another beast to save you...
I've had several reoccurring dreams in my life and if you want them to end you need to get over your fear and change your dream -you are in control. try petting the dogs, do something creative to make them leave. subconsciously you will work out your problems. it may take a few tries before you find what works but personally I could tell you each of my re-dreams and how I conquered them & I know you can too

Not much, according to some Psychologists your dream is caused by your memories, your desires or your fears... it should mean that would be a pretty scary situation for you (and for everybody) and it could be caused if you were hearing dogs bark whils sleeping...
