This tends to happen when women stop having a life of their own, when they decide that their life should revolve around the man that they married. Marriage is not the reason for this, the problem is when the women change themselves in order to fit "the perfect image" of their man, when they stop going to their dancing class because he is jelous, and when they stop having such a bubbly personality becase he always thinks she is flirting.. once men have the perfect woman who is always there, just like he always wanted, he tends to get bored and take her for granted.

Some people would argue the whole "Madonna/Whore" complex. Some men see women as sexual beings (whores), until they become mothers (like the Madonna). Once these women become mothers the men can no longer touch them in the same way without feeling guilty, so they lose interest.
I'm not sure I totally believe that theory. Many men don't lose interest and affection in their wife after marriage. Sure, things change. You get more comfortable with eachother, and you spend a lot more time working to support your home and your family. So it's only natural that sex will decline a little because you're so tired all the time. But many couples manage to keep their flame going well beyond their retirement.

The first flush of passion changes ,as the years go by, and usually in a good marriage respect ,and love become even deeper , you support each other, in all the ups and downs which life throws at you. The man ages and the woman ages. A relationship develops , involving all of these experiences. You have been there together . Desire is a normal human experience ,and a human need, so passion now has another label, which is being there , being together, a warm bed on a cold night , somebody to comfort you when you cry , for older people also cry .

Because they feel confortable and they don't have the need to impress their woman.
Also, after the honeymoon is over with, there is a period of calm where the thrills and frills are dimishes, and after datimg for a while and then get married this is natural.
Then boredom sets in and the men will like to have the need for the thrill of novelty again.
The idea is to keep on working your relationship to make it interesting and fun.

Men are hunters, hunting women is evolutionary the same as hunting anything else.
Once the hunt has been accomplished, there is no further drive to succeed.
The thrill of the chase is a base instinct and most men have not worked out how to override their base instincts.

i think because they expect their wife to be the person they first met and to feel how they felt during their dating days. the fact is that if men were to treat a woman the way they did when they dated then women wouldnt lose interest in them. it takes two to tango, you both have to spend quality time together and get that new love interest back into your lives.

I guess its because bills, raising kids, and other money issues overwhelm some men. Its no longer dating where he's being romantic. Now its building a life together, which he feels he doesn't need to be romantic anymore.

I'm not sure, but I think it's something to do with "oh I finally got it and now I don't want it" thing. Try to do diffrent things in bed that meets both of your comfort levels. Always communicate and I guess just try to reconnect with that mushy first date feeling.

Well not all men do !!! Once they are married they feel pinned down that they can't do anything anymore ...They have lost their freedom !! But it can be fun...Just you and your wife you can do things to make it fun whether it be sexual or just something innocent...You are what you make yourself ..You want to be miserable then you will be ..

Men? How about women? It's like flipping a light switch.
"OH well, we're married now, I don't have to try any more..."
