It works the same as when you graduated high school, if you graduated high school in 1998 then you are the class of 98 and if you are graduating college in 2002 then you are also the class of 02. i think that they refer to college graduates as alumni so i believe you will be the alumni of 2002 for whatever college you graduated from.

You belong to the class of the year you graduate, not when you start. So, if you graduate in 2002, you're in the class of 2002.
