I've lived in the US my entire life, and I was wondering how people from other countries view the people here and the country itself.

Hi, I'm Brazilian and here's my opinion:

US is a nice country to live in. Your government should stop trying to control other countries to get their oil, with the excuse of freeing them from their dictators. But at the same time, I can understand, US is such a rich country because it prioritizes its objectives and people over other nations, and that's why it became such a nice place to live in.

The average American citizen is believed to be an idiot who thinks that only US matters and will do every thing its government ask him to do (public opinion, not mine).

It pisses me off when an American criticizes that Brazil is destroying the Amazon after you destroyed all your forests and killed all your Indians.

And no, your country is not the best, it's just rich and works with a aggressive external policy. There's no such thing as the best country. But again, I admire your patriotism.

Overall one of the best countries to live in and the worst country in the world, if you live in a country where America has an interest for you oil.

I view your country as the set of most fair minded, highly accomplished people.

Your country excels in sports, science, research, business and so on. You have contributed so much to humanity. You have given so much to the world. The very computer I am using and the internet that helped me to write this started first in America. One can go on like this, where everything you do today has a root somewhere in USA and it touches your life. Thanks, Ameirca and your people.

Your country is rich with natural resources. This is a major blessing. In this area, you are lucky in a geographical sense.

Your people compete in all sorts of sports. A political system that has evolved and stood the test of time.

No wonder the opportunities are big and for the hard working intelligent person enjoying the good life that the money has to offer is nice.

I am not an American but I have always held your country in high regard.

It pains me to read so many illiterates bash America. It is the flavor of the month to needle President George Bush. And yet, all these bashers somehow need Bush to continue their business.

For example, take the need for crude oil. You know well the middle east countries are focussing on America to say some very nasty things and do major damage. But, if US stops buying oil (unlikely of course), these countries will starve in the dark. They are killing the golden goose. They bite the hand that feeds.

You are the only people who laugh at your own weaknesses. That is the sign of strength. Because you are so self-confident that you can afford to be aware of your strengths and weaknesses.

So you only want foreign people to answer?
I'm an American. I've been to about 14 different countries (U.S. Navy) and from my personal experience: We live in the greatest country in the world. There are some other good countries out there. I loved Rome. Germany, Austria, and Switzerland were beautiful. But there is nothing else like home. The U.S.A. IS the greatest country in the world.
If your American and don't like it here... you're free to leave, but they don't. Why? I guess it's because deep down the do like it here.

I am first generation of immigrant. I have been here in USA for more than 50 years. I have been really enjoying this democratic country. All my three sons are professionals with above college education. If you play by the rules and work hard, you will succeed here.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!

Hi You dont need anybodys certificate . USA is THE SUPER POWER and everybody is looking towards USA only for all support. Because it is a free society everybody has freedom of speech to criticise openly.
The people of USA belong to various countries and regions and it is a mixture of all such people. Infact the free movement was taken advantage of to destroy the twin towers .
For people of USA itself life is tough I should say where they have to look for themselves most of their household jobs.
But all said and done it is a wonderful country and I love it.

I've never been fond of Americans as a whole. Individuals can be very good people, but their ideals as a whole and their government is headed towards totalitarianism and it scares me.
It seems as though the people and the government think that everyone in the world should be involved in their business so that they can control everyone else.

when the war breaks out send the fellas in their, kick some tail.
Every twenty eight days send in a platoon of mad women,
then send the home extreme make over team to clean and make everything in there pretty.

They respect our power.
Don't expect them to love us.
Everyone will defend their own country, all over the world.
