They should start eating that same food as the mother at about three weeks. Just so you know, hamsters can get pregnant when they are three or four weeks old. so as soon as you are sure they are weaned(they should be eating only solid food) you need to separate the males and females or you will have a lot of babies on your hands.

They are probably NOT weaned from thier mommy yet. Don't worry about what they eat, they will eat the same thing mommy does. Give them about another week, once they are covered in fur and their eyes are open then you can play with them and seperate the males and females (that may take a little longer to deturmine). Just keep the cage in area where the hamsters are warm and don't touch them unless you are sure they are weaned. Don't worry about it though, momma knows how to care for the babies and just keep her food bowl clean and full.

they will begin to activley search out food, a few days before there eyes are opened, you should be at that stage already, they babys are born with teeth and they will eat the regular hamster foods of seeds but i would also offer fresh veggies such as baby carrots, brocolli, potatoe, cabbage. at week three through four you will need to begin sexing the babys, If you have cambells dwarf or aka russian dwarfs the females have two holes anal and vaginia .very close together as it almost will look as if it is one hole. The males will have anal hole, and they also have what is a scent gland that will almost look like a hole but the spacing between the two is farther a part. On a full grown male it will almost look like a belly button. THe babys can breed as early as 4 week, the females will go into heat every four days, haveing 4-9 ish in a litter. sexing them properly is a must. If you have to use a clear plastic container to hold babies as you sex them if holding by hand proves difficult. Use the parents as referance for comparison. good luck

You don't wean them the moms do. Do you remember how short of a time the pregnancie was? Childhood doesn't last them very long either. Mom is probally ready to have another batch.

They will migrate to the feeding station like the mom......they will eat what is there. My little ones were given little pieces of apples, lettuce, and broccoli too as an extra treat. TRUE...separate the males and females or else they will multiply like rabbits...only faster due to a shorter gestation period.
