I admit disliking England (I'm Welsh) but not I would NEVER consider attacking (physcial or verbal) at anyone who wears and England shirt. The bloke who did that is sick and deserves a long jail sentenace

I disagree with you what say "Scottish wife n kid batterers need not answer as it's a daily routine for you scum" - it happens everywhere (England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales)

you are an ignorant tosser. how can anybody in their right mind say that the attack was justified, they can't possibly. the reason for the answer was the condascending manner in which the question was posed and the accusation that scots were wife and kid batterers and that it took place daily, i'm pretty sure it's not a localised problem specific to scotland. has it ever happened in england? i can't see how you could possibly answer 100 percent truthfully if you said it definitely hasn't. the tone of the question was the problem not the question itself

This is a disgusting thing to have happened and I am sure most Scots would agree (I am not Scottish). I can tell that you are very angry about this incident, and rightly so. However, you should not generalise all Scottish men as "kid and wife beaters" because of the actions of this one cowardly lunatic. Most Scots, as with all nationalities, are decent, law abiding and friendly people.

Is that in today's papers? I've not read about it yet. Anyway, that's disgusting and only cowards would do a thing like that.

Sometimes I think football brings out the worst in people, it's their prerogative if they want to wear an England shirt, they're only showing support for their country.

Jeez, what's up with people?

By the, way I have nothing against Scottish people, that sort of behaviour is pathetic regardless of where it happened and who it happened to.

I am from scotland and think what happened to that young boy is absolutely ridiculous. I have a son the same age and if anyone did anything like that to him just because of an item of clothing, or for any other reason, i'd castrate him. Its only football for gods sake, there are so many people out there that need to grow up and fast.

For you tossers out there, this incident actually happened. Its not a stupid question.

What is the world coming to when a 7 year child can't wear a football top of the team of his choice.

I hope the guy rots in hell.

i was raised in scotland on a horrible council estate with a bad reputation where there was always trouble, violence, burglaries , murders and worse even the police feared that place, i too was beaten up by a man at the age of 10 and he killed my dog , i was just a kid playing around in his garden shed when he caught me , i knew he was on drugs or drunk and he was really angry because he thought i was stealing stuff ..... he threw me against the walls 3 or 4 times shouting his head off and my dog was biting his leg at the same time when he kicked it so hard it flew right across his garden and died instantly (i still get emotional today) but i left that hell hole when i was 18 and have never looked back since..... dont get me wrong about scotland because there are alot of great people there (just not in the council estates/hood)

It is just appalling and pathetic. It's a bl**dy sport, not some kind of war for crying out loud. Sadly, that isn't the only case of violence against someone in Scotland for wearing an England shirt - just so much worse as it was a child and his disabled dad. Scotland, you should be ashamed.
