the dems are hopeless... for the last decade they've been trying to shift center/right for votes to the point where they have no principles or fundamentals anymore. sigh. clinton was a great president in many ways, but he may very well have destroyed the dem party (by starting the race toward the center). anyway... i hope al gore runs again. i'd rather see him run and lose than have one of these unpricipled wafflers actually win.

Way back in High School (late 1970s), I wrote a paper for our Political Science class proposing the viewpoint that the Democratic party was just a useless old relic that hadn't come up with an original idea in 40 years.
Well, my teacher was a typical liberal product of the 1960s, but in a moment of unexpected thoughtful consideration, he said, "You know, some of these points you make are quite valid. I never realized how deficient the Democratic party is".
However, to be honest, I'm surprised the Democratic party doesn't dominate politics. The Dems are like McDonald's fast food. They get business no matter what. They don't have to produce good food, or healthy food, or do much of anything right other than prey on the impressionable minds of little kids, and have a convenient location.
All our institutions of higher learning are dominated by liberals. Our media is incredibly biased towards the Left. I don't know where conservatives come from. Maybe they're just immune to all the brainwashing.

As bad as the Democrats are, the Republicans are just as bad. Neither party has promoted anyone with real leadership skills in twenty years. Why? God forbid we get a president who acts in the best interests of the people instead of kissing up to the party bosses and the special interests who bribe then into submission. The GOP is bought & paid for by the oil industry (and others).

I think that Hillary Clinton would make a great president, she is a strong, intelligent person, that is not afraid to stand up for what is right. She would have and excellent adviser in her husband, the last legally elected president. He was also the most successful in over 40 years at running the country. However I do not give her much of a chance because of the politics of hate from the repuglicans.

We are not without hope! Have you seen the republicans agree on much in the past six years. Everyone wants power and when they get it they want to control it individually.
Democrats have their beliefs and Republicans have their beliefs.
Republicans do a good job of labeling Democrats has hopeless and unable to make decisions.
Republicans are also good at labeling people, party's, and countries. Why do you think the entire Republican congress is White!!!! They are no different than any other bigot.

Dems have pinned all of their hopes on anti-Bush negativisim, they haven;t really elevated any new ideas and the economy is doing just fine. Republicans are probably going to pull off another victory simply because Democrats are not united or positive.

I think Howard Dean (Democratic Chairman) will pull the party together. I liked Bill Clinton, but let's face it- he wasn't a Democratic. The Democrats are rediscovering their progressive wing. We are not without hope; we are, however, experiencing birth pains for a new awakening.

i admire his perspectives lots extra clever. they look extra sensible. McCain says he will "cut back taxes" for each individual. however with our nationwide debt, there is not any longer something to do to repair it besides develop each and every person's taxes. Obama's plans average have flaws, so do McCains. No ones are acceptable and no it is user-friendly to have one hundred% of their supplies wade with the aid of. i for my section like Obama and his stand on LGBT. i do no longer accept as true with it one hundred%, even yet it truly is lots extra clever than the "kill all gays and supporters" mentality that McCain and Palin have. His preparation plan is nice. yet i do no longer comprehend the place all this money could come from to pay it. yet that's no longer a controversy i glance very deeply in with the aid of fact i'm no longer in college and by making use of the time I even have teenagers and that they boost up, it is going to likely be a minimum of two an prolonged time till they flow to college. I additionally like his stance on oil and new techniques. For what i comprehend, McCain basically needs to maintain drilling. yet Obama needs to create jobs to flow in the direction of wind and photograph voltaic capacity. Which i'm a great supporter in reducing the quantity of gas we use. when I build a house, i desire that i will locate one way or the different to incorporate "green" life into it :) in case you refuse to talk approximately subjects, then i supplies you an answer that's no longer pertaining to to that: he's the lesser of two evils. think of roughly it, Sarah Palin as president after McCain dies or his Alzheimers kicks in finished-time? Or Obama who truly is primary with of what it truly is decide to be a individual interior the U. S., no longer constantly wealthy? **EDIT** Sorry. I forgot pertaining to to the entire "community provider for training" ingredient. Now I undergo in suggestions that I enjoyed that approximately him, even while Hillary replace into nonetheless interior the race (i'm an avid Hillary supporter). i think of this is a clever theory to get the excellent teenagers the money they choose. And sounds logical. If the undesirable teenagers will basically flunk out in any case, why could they choose the training? undesirable teenagers could under no circumstances volunteer to assist. however the sturdy teenagers which will proceed on sturdy and choose the help, they could do some thing great and finally end up assisting themselves, too. yet back, i do no longer comprehend lots on the preparation topic, so do no longer quote me.
