I am not due to start my period until Sun. I am having cramps but I've been having them for over a week now. Way longer than usual. I took an early test last night and again this morning(with the first mornings urine) both were negative. Do you think it was right or could it possibly be a false negative. My fiance and I did it on what is supposed to be my most fertile day. I just don't want to get my hopes up. Plus we are having a romantic weekend and I don't want to be consumed by this.

False negatives are very possible, especially when talking about days before your period is supposed to start. If you look at the EPT, it gives you the statistics for how accurate the test is each day before the period is due. The earlier you test, the more inaccurate the test is. Your best bet is to test the day of or after your period is due. The EPTs can claim "early detection" all they want, but every woman is different. Some women have very low HCG levels early on which would make it very difficult to detect a pregnancy.
Unfortunately, unless you buy tests and test every day there's simply no way to tell if you're pregnant right now (unless you go to the doctor and have a blood test, which is very accurate very early) - but i'm not sure how long those tests take to come back.
Just relax. If you're concerned, don't drink this weekend. You can relax and have a great time - I know it's easier said than done, but right now you're in the classic waiting game all women TTC go through. I had a total of 15 months of waiting for that BFP. It sucks, but it's part of it. Good luck!

False negatives are more lilkely than false positives but I am still thinking the cramps mean nothing. If they are real bad go the doctor of course but you don't usually start to "feel" pregnant until a few weeks have gone by and I don't remember having cramps during early pregnancy. If you still haven't started come Monday or Tuesday take the test again. Try to relax until then. Good Luck

It *could* be a false negative. Most tests have a lot of false negatives until you are a full week past the first day of your missed period.
On the other hand, the cramps were probably *not* related to a pregnancy. Cramps aren't a common early sign of pregnancy, and they probably started earlier than you would have had any physical changes from pregnancy. So it's *possible* that they were a sign of delayed ovulation. You could have a normal period in another week.
Good luck!!

Trust in the test. If it was positive you would have believed it right?
Now, I'm not saying it is accurate, just trust in it so you can relax and enjoy your weekend. If you ARE pregnant you will find out soon enough...honestly, soon there will be no doubt so just trust in the 2 tests and keep on trying ;)

How I look at it is it will happen, when it happens. Just go about as if everything was normal, If you took two test and they are both neg. then you more than likely aren't pregnant. Good luck in the future.
