Mike Tysons punch out. Who could forget as memorable expiriences, as beating the heck out of glass joe, or how it was nearly impossible to penitrate the obese "King Hippos" defences, then learning if you hit him in the head when he winds for a punch, then in the gut, he goes down for the count if you can bring him down?
By the way, to the person who said pong was the first game, go here.

Total Annihilation. First real time strategy with real physic principles built into the game. Also it has the most sophisticated search pattern for movement. It is by far the most addictive RTS game of its time and today. My friends and I still play it often. There's nothing better then building a nuke and nuking your opponent or getting nuke!
