does anyone know if there any photo site were your phtos are permanent?

Register for an account at photobucket and imageshack. I use imageshack more because I can upload lots of pictures.

Check with Photomax...they can do wonders with your photos and I believe they store them. I think that may be photomax dot com. They sell online businesses...that's how I know about them. They do a lot of things with photos.
