Sounds like the EGR valve is clogged up with carbon. Try removing the EGR and cleaning it out real good with a brake cleaner. It may be a good idea to take it to a loal garage and have them perform an induction cleaning service on the fuel system to rid your self of carbon build up in your injectors, fuel rail, and valves. Once this is done and it cures the problem, try using a better grade of fuel, mid grade or premium has detergents in it to keep this from happening.
Good Luck
