I am pretty sure you will have some trouble. I do not know much about the SQL server 7.0 but do know much about the 2000 and 2005 versions. I have read somewhere that in transferring to the SQL server 2000 Microsoft changed lots of data types. Therefor I assume you will run into trouble if the column type from SQL server 7.0 is not supported in the 2000. An easier way of doing the transformation is manually create the tables in the 2000 version and then just transfer the data with SQL commands using Excel or something as a go between.
