Have your colors done. or at least read "Color Me Beautiful" it is an old book and can be found used. It is the "bible" in this area.
Once you find the colors that are most flattering to you, and the styles that go with those colors and you, it is unlikely that such an outdated style as punk will hold your interest.
It is far better to spend the time and energy on finding the look that is most flattering to you, this is awareness that can last your lifetime.

short spikey haircut or mohawk, multiple ear piercings
other piercings. Noseridge would be cool. Old tshirt with skull logo or toxic waste sign or biohazard waste. baggy cargo pants cut off below the knees, Doc Maartens or Vietnam Jungle boots black Patches on pants pinned on with safety pins. chain belt. chain wallet black leather. Oh another option for pants is a utilikilt that is so punk. esp a black one. www.utilikilt.org there are some classically dressed punks on there. Too much black makeup and you are goth you want to be punk and that is makeup loud with colors! Yes black eyeliner and eyebrow pencil but the rest color nice bright lipstick. a black cat collar or spike collar or chain around neck finishes it. don't forget the leather armbands or rubber bracelets.

headphones, black dyed hair with red streaks, spikey hair, probably short, dark black eyeliner, mascara? dark red lipstick. fishnets, boots with chain things, skull necklaces/ chain necklaces, striped socks? black and white. pout. ripped tees. black. dark colors. leather wrist bands.. the littl spiked stuff that are on bulldog collars. studded belts, ummm wait maybe this is too goth. i dont know... im just trying to describe a friend who says she's punk.

dont know is that the thing where you wear all black dye your hair black and get a load of piercings and generally act like the world is coming to an end or is that goth? whats the difference?
