You didn't ask a clear question.
But.. If your question was:" Do I tell about my affair in public?"
I would answered:" It depends. You must ask yourself and decide:
1. Have you the courage to tell it? You must think that many people cannot accept an affair like that.
2. Does your profession accept such a thing?
3. Are you (both) in love enough, so you can suffer bad comments?
4.Can friends and relatives support your decision, when you tell it in public?
5. Why you didn't tell it till now? What was the real reason?
If you (both) answer yes go and tell it. If not wait a little .
But I think the best way is to fight. Accept yourself, love yourself and fight for yourself. Be strong and you win. GL

Do you not live in an area where you would be accepted? If not, that's too bad. I'm sorry if you feel that people's respect for you would go away were they to know the truth. I find great respect for people that have really discovered who they are and have not been afraid to share their true selves with their surroundings. This doesn't mean you have to hire a billboard, but I think you and your boyfriend would be much more comfortable and happy if you were to come clean with people if the opportunity arises.

Then you don't worry about the public. If it's something that your family can accept that is all that matter, but even if they didn't who is in the relationship? You and your BF. So many men and women are afraid to revel there sexuality, you should have to who cares what the next person thinks. You just have to inbedd that into your head. So many people are doing and they are proud of it and you should too!!

I think you should enjoy everything you have..and the fact that your close friends and family support you is great... who care what strangers think or say ..you will never see them again....aslong as you are being yaself and not pushing your love life into everyones faces then it probably wouldn't bother most people..it's the same if ya see a hetro couple playing tongue tennis and getting dam right jiggy with it in public..sometimes it can be a bit much.. so live ya life exactly how you want to..

Why should you have to explain love to the public? I think public opinion is important but your confidence level should be that of it's YOUR life and YOUR choices. They don't pay you bills, buy your groceries or buy gas for your car so stop striving to please them with your decisions or choice of lifestyle. If they care about you, being gay or straight should not be an issue. You need to search for that inner strength that gives you the right to be who you are and project it to the public.

I wouldn't explain anything to anyone, rather I would gradually introduce him as my partner in life. If you are planning to be life partners, this should be socially acceptable to anyone that you know. That should stop the questions and glances you appear to have been experiencing.

There is no shame in being in love with anyone if you project the confidence level that you need to. There are MANY Public personalities that are gay and very popular! It might be a shock to those that don't know at first....but they will accept you if you project your confidence and authority in your decisions in your life.

Hiding your life makes you more vulnerable to attacks on your credibility to be truthful and confident in your decisions. I wouldn't openly make an announcement of my gay or straight nature since it is not anyone's business truly. But I would not hide my love for someone either.

Seek some local gay support groups or business professionals in your area of expertise so that they can be there for you as a support source.

Love gives one a confidence that will overcome anything that becomes an obstacle in life.

Wishing you both that confidence!

You have what most people wish they had (hetero or gay) so why care about what the public have to say? I mean, does your job depend of the opinion others have about you? If your closest friends, who i guess are the dearest, and your parents know what else do you want? Stop turning it around in your head, you need not let everyone know about your personal life!!!

The public is always going to be mean, unaccepting and criticize no matter what is going on in the world. If I were you, I would continue to be happy and in love and say to hell with the public. You may never get acceptance from them. Just be yourself and let them wonder...it's not hurting anyone.

Well, if he's that perfect, then why are you ashamed? If you're gay, then be open with people. It's who you are and you can't change that. The most important people in your life already know, like your close friends and you family and they accept it. So who cares what everyone else thinks. Just be yourself.

This isn't the day of Gary Grant. Women are out with theirs, look at Melissa, and Ellen.
Don't be ruled about what other people think. I think homosexuality is a sin, and should be kept behind locked doors, and out of my sight, but in the same token, I can say I am a dwindling majority.
Get brave.

The world seems to be (at least TV airtime) more accepting than in the past (except Goverment). The Celebs. that have come foward have (to my knowledge) experienced NO neg. effects. If it were me, I hope that I had the strength to be myself and let the chips fall where they may.....scary though. Difficult quest. But w/o going out of your way to hurt other people u must live life "you first....AFTER me". Enjoy your love.
