Whenever I open a picture, it opens with "paint". How can I change it to open with windows picture and fax viewer?

change association.

From Windows Explorer click Tools / Folder Options... Click on the 'File Types' tab, find the file extension for the picture type you are working with (jpg, bmp, tiff, etc) then click 'Change'. Then you can choose the program you want to open it.

Do that and the file will always open in the program you chose.

Right click and "open with" Windows Picture and Fax viewer.

Right click and choose open with and select 'choose program' the program you want, i.e. Windows fax and picture
and select always open with this application.
If that does not work, go to tools > Folder options and select the extensions you need and set the program to open with that from advanced settings.

Open up your photos with "domicile windows photograph and fax viewer". Heres the thank you to realize this... a million) spotlight the photos you like 2) good click and decide "Open With" 3) click on "decide for software" 4) click "go with software from checklist" (if it shows up) 5) go with "domicile windows photograph and fax viewer" 6) you could now use the arrows on the backside to instruct with the aid of you photos!

Right click select 'open with' and check box for future selection.

You right click it and press properties. There is this thing that says "open with" and you can change it.
