Alaska is 4 hours ahead, so 1 pm in Alaska is 5 pm in New York, unless you're out on the Aleutian chain, then you're even earlier.

Alaska is 3 hours behind NY as they are on Pacific Standard time

they're 2 different states, New york is on the east side of USA, they're in the eastern timezone, and Alaska is on west side but located in Canada, they're in the pacific timezone. Alaska is a lot colder than NY.

Where in Alaska? The Aleutians? Anchorage? Juneau? Don't YOU KNOW?? And you have to take into account of the time of year, If you're in Nome in the winter, you are verrryyyy cold and it's always dark so time kinda stops at 3am.
