Pigs are actually very intelligent animals. I think they became associated with "stupid" because they roll around in mud all day. But, the reason they do that is to protect their skin from sunburn. Sounds pretty smart to me!

Pigs are actually very smart and clean. My pig is at least. A pig will not go to the bathroom in the same area where he eats or sleeps. Pigs are said to be very close to man when it comes to intelligence. So I guess you are saying that man is stupid, but my opinion is pigs are smarter then any man.

If you have ever been around pigs you know they are actually very smart. Many someone thought it was stupid that they were smart enough to get out of their pens.I think lambs should be associated with being the stupidest. They are most ridiculously stupid animals I have ever owned or worked with!

I never associated a pig with stupidity. I think pigs are more associated with messy people or glutony.

the chinese...well at least those in SG...have this rude term for calling people stupid...it literally means pig brain...to scold someone for being dull, dumb, stupid
but the paradox i dun quite understand is...
why the chinese like to boil/consume pig's brain soup to boost/supplement/enrich their own brains if they think pigs are stupid...ah duh?
sorry i dunno why pigs are considered stupid...i think they are so misunderstood...
