Find a vet in your area that specializes in primates and check with him/her. If there's not one in your area, you probably should rethink getting the monkey. The website below has some good info.

You should let monkeys live in the wild where they are meant to live. All the monkeys in captivity should be kept in enclosures similar to their natural habitat.

If you've reached the point in pet ownership where you want a monkey...go ahead and have a child.

Monkeys have to wear diapers you know. And when they're bad, well you have to SPANK THEM.

Why would you want to. Monkeys are usually not very nice and they are extremely messy.
