How to find out the name and or address of a person by a license plate number?

ask an officer..if he/she's nice and u have a real good reason they may help you....you could also hire one of those detctive people...

Drive around until you find a car with that plate number, then follow them home. That will give you the address.
Then wait until the mailman arrives, and go look at some of his mail. That will tell you his name.

Go to DMV and file a request. You will get the information in a few days and the person you are inquiring about will also be notified of your request. ( I know this used to be the process but since 9-11 it may have changed?)

call the police station, and give them the license plate number, they have all the infomation, like name, address, phone, car, etc..

If you have a good reason to know- go to motor vehicle or police dept. Otherwise-hire a detective- Could be expensive
