sugar in water forms a true solution, and the size of the particles is less than a nanometer
it is nearly impossible for us to seperate sugar frm water using home made techniques
however there r lab techniques thro which the sugar particles can be crystallised.evaporation will not help in getting the sugar back
what is the purpose of doing all these to a super saturated solution????
u can just evaporate the water frm a super saturated soln(no clips and nothin else)
however in case u have little amt of sugar in water, what will u do?????

Its called super saturation.
Then you dissolve sugar in water it will have a limit that no more can be dissolve. Then you leave a solution water will evporate making the solution more saturated than before and hence crystallization may occour. Also any impurites on the side of the container or by adding some string will change the enoptry of the
system at there point where these are will cause crystal structures to be formed.

1.first take a glass full of drinking water
2.saturate the water by addind loads of sugar until it finally stops dissolving (remember to heat the solution a bit)
3.take a paperclip or any other supprt and tie it to a string .
4.dip the paperclip into the saturated solution , cover it and leave it alone for about a day or two .
5 take the paperclip out and taste your new homemade sugar crystals!
is this some project????? BEST OF LUCK

i made sugar crystals at home when I was a kid - there's definitely a way to do it. I remember leaving it for the water to evaporate for a few days, I dont' remember the rest of the procedure though. Try Googling "Homemade Rock Candy"

easiest way to make big crystals is to heat the water to near boiling and dissolve as much sugar in it as possible. put it in a container where it can sit for about a week without being disturbed. insert a string or rod so the crystals have something to grow on and just let it cool and sit. within a week you should have nice crystals growing.

the solution should be a saturated solution. take a stick and suspend a string from it into the solution. cover it up. after a few days the sugar will be crystallized and can be taken out with the string.
