Backwebbing is a technique to send data to your computer. Some software providers (e.g. HP and Logitech) use it to send you software updates for their products you have on your pc. (Did you recently install some new software?)

Software updates are a good use of backwebbing. However, some web spammers or virus creators use it to send harmful software to pc's. This is very bad and is why you got the warning message.

Next time you get the warning message, look at the names mentioned and see if you can determine if it is related to a product that you want. If so, go ahead and allow the transmission.

If you don't allow it, the worst that happens is that you miss a software update. You can always go to the software provider's website and download the updates manually. (You just have to remember to do it!)
