People distinguish that based upon their preferences. Yes its should be meat cause it is flesh of a living or dead organism.

If it is alive, or has been at one time it is meat. Look at crab meat. Their meat is different from pork, beef, and chicken. But it is still considered "meat" because they are living things.

It is animal flesh just like chicken and beef and other animals. So I would consider it a meat.

i would just because it is catigorized but i would consider it being eatable by a vegetarian because it's a different type of meat other than pork or beef.
