Good question
But don't all criteria we assign to measure up people have soem bias or teh other:
Inteligence based on our set standard of being intelligent
kind based on our religion or upbringing
beauty again customs and social norm
justice what we think or believe to be the right thing
etc etc
there will always be bias and stereotypes the best thing to do I beleive is be open and liberal while passing judgements

- colour of their skin
- clothes they are wearing
- hairstyle
- distinguishing marks - scars, tatoos, piercings

maybe its wrong but if you were mugged twice by black guys you would tend to distrust all blacks. its something thats both learned from experence [ your own and other peoples] and taught by others. every animal makes judgments based on many factors and people are no different. somewhere alone the line we decide that different is dangerous and act accordingly. is it right no but it happens

Got me. What does that have to do with anything? I have never understood it and when someone says derogatory things because of their skin color- I swear you can see steam come out of my ears!
Some Christians are racist, which makes no sense. When Jesus said, "love thy neighbor as thyself" he didn't add-unless they are black, or white, or asian....

Too generalized a question, even a white racist can have a black for a friend or close acquaintance.
