What do you think?
So many scary stories, so many kids afraid, so many cries from the dentistry...what? Were you born in the twilight zone? Of course it hurts.
They lie and tell you they numb the pain and then they let you have it. It's horrible. And when you're done...yes they put you to sleep...like a dog.
Hope you are good and ready to go to the dentist now.

When they numb your gums, it is not painful at all. Of course the needle pinches a little bit. Depending what teeth need to be pulled, if its the wisdom teeth, its just a lot of pressure on your jaw. If you are very scared of having your teeth pulled, you can also have the dentist put you to sleep (anesthetic).

They can use local anaesthesia, which means you are awake, but your mouth is numbed.
I tend to have seizures when someone sticks a needle in me, so there is the option to go under general anaesthesia, in which case you are completely put out and you aren't awake for any of the procedure.
I have had 6 teeth pulled in my lifetime and dont recall any pain whatsoever. however, these were not wisdom teeth, which sometimes can be painful during recovery as your gums heal.

Put your mouth to sleep? I'd like to see that done.
Any reputable dentist would never pull a tooth without giving you a shot of Novocaine to numb the area. It hurts when that Novocaine wears off, but it's not unbearable.

of course they numb it! In some cases they will put you asleep. Like all your wisdom teeth. I had that done. Sounds you are asking because you are going to have one pulled. Don't worry, it is a piece of cake.

Generally speaking, they'll give you anesthesia so that you are out cold. There's an option ot have just local as well, but most people opt for total... They only give you a little and you are only out for a short time, so it isn't quite as major as having a big operation, but still is quite serious.

no,
it is just numb
doesnt really hurt bad.as they give local anaesthesia and then pull it away.i got a molar of mine pulled out as it was coming out awry. it didnt hurt when it was pulled.
but there was swelling and a ache for about a day or so and i sounded funny when i talked. i had lots of icecream to numb my mouth and it was fun overall.

it depends. when i got 2 of them pulled out, they numb the area of the gum and teeth. then they put the areas close to it, to sleep. i don't know if its the same for every person.
