No. Michigan is not a community property state.

Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin are.

It depends on how long your married and the judge you get in Michigan weather or not they consider community property here in Michigan I've been divorced 3 times here and each time the split was different because it was in different counties. And different circumstances.....My suggestion is that if you have alot to lose hire a good lawyer.... And it also depends on if there are children involved.......
