Do you have family nearby?? Theres not a lot there. It is still pretty--it got hit hard by hurricanes two years ago. If you love the quiet and the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, its OK. Not too far from Sarasota, Ft Myers or Tampa in a pinch.

FL real estate has been running high for a year or two...you might be buying in at the top of the market.

If you rent here, there, or anywhere, then go for it!
