It depends upon the plumbing in your home. If it is not grounded properly on the outside, then there is a chance that the pipe that water is coming out of into your shower could be the path the bolt takes to discharge into the ground. Most modern homes are properly grounded and/or use PVC instead of metal pipes, so are at less risk than homes say 30 years or older. There is also the chance of getting your head blown off by talking on a corded phone during a lightning storm. But, since most people have cordless phones nowadays it is unlikely.

Yes, it's possible. It is also possible to be struck by lightning by just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. During a lightning storm, there is always a better chance of being struck than when there is no storm at all. It is also possible to win the lottery, but I just don't see it happening.

Theoretically yes.

The pipes in your house and you between them and the easiest way to mother earth makes the shower dangerous. Problem is it is very very hard for a lightning bolt to see its way into your house to hit those pipes. Can happen but ... you must be the unluckiest person alive.

About 100 people get killed by lightning in the US each year. Half of them outdoors. You getting killed because you slipped over a bar of soap is almost infinitely greater.

If lightning hits close by, it could commute on your pipes and in the event that they are sturdy conductors, they could lead on on your bathe i assume. yet homes are often insulated and there are groundings that could shrink the prospect. It relies upon on how close the conductor is to the exterior. So if the pipes connecting on your bathe is steel, and it truly is amazingly uncovered, it truly is risky. So yeah you may get electrocuted! i could truly watch the rain however :P

I would imagine it is possible.
But that would require lightining hitting the water pipes, and the chance of that happening is really low.

Unless your house was wired really bad, or has pipes sticking up out of the ground somewhere, I wouldn't worry about it.
