mine did that too, try giving it insects in the other pods...there supposed tobe easy to grow but there realy not...another thing i bound id that in everyon ive had if you take out the plant youll find a hornworm grub (wich are notorious for eating and lkiling plants and roots) in the soil..try repotting it with more moss. high grade moss works best, and make sure the flytrap isnt in direct sunlight...that can kill them sometimes too., also if you buy distilled water its would work better, the chlorine is horid, just bottled water works. the moss alwas has to be drenched (a neat litle fact about venus fly traps, they can live for years submerged underwate!) if the moss dries out it dies. also you have to have a terrarium for it, like a small plastic fishboul with a lid with vents works realy well, and the bug containers you get at dollarrama for kids? they work realy well to, thats what i had mine in...till my dog ate it...if you need any more infor just e-mail me. a hot humid place works well too...like a bathroom, or next to a vaporizer if you use on on a daily basis

Venus Flytraps come from a tropical environment, your area may be too cold for the ones you're growing. Try putting a miniature greenhouse around them and see if it helps.

Previous answers OK, one tip, don't be tempted to trip the traps just to see them working as it takes a lot from the plant to reset the empty trap.
