That must be an extremely huge compressor being able to contain a hundred pounds of air...!

As pounds are a weight measurement, the answer is really clear. Actually you are in the wrong category - choose jokes&riddles.

100 lbs of air is not the "air weight" but the pressure of the air against the container holding it. So the answer would be that they both weigh the same, since air does not weigh anything. Example, what weighs more an empty glass or a glass full of air? A flat tire or a tire full of air?

Obviously the compressor with 100 pounds of compressed air inside it is heavier than an empty one, just like an empty cylinder of gas compared with a full one.

What is the capacity of the compressor?
& what is the volume of 100 pound of air at NTP?
I think, the one with 100 pounds of air will weigh more.

Um... Hello?

Why are so many people getting this wrong?

the 100 pounds of air is a pressure reading (PSI - pounds per square inch) not a weight that gravity can act on.

That would be like saying you weigh more if you take in a deep breath of air and hold it. Yeah - not so much!

The one with pressurized air in it, of course. When a compressor takes air in, it's also taking whatever is in the air, and that's moisture. Moisture has weight. That's why compressor tanks have a moisture bleed petcock.

Well air does have weight so one with 100 lbs of air in it would weigh more however air is measure in pressure not weight so it would not weigh 100 lbs more.
