I think a romantic evening would be nice... Also, the one year anniversary is the paper one- you could get him concert tickets or a book... or make yourself a dress made out of paper...

If he's into sports you could get him an autographed photo of one of his heroes or maybe a season ticket (or 2) to see his fave team play. Every guy I know is into electronic gadgets. www.thinkgeek.com has some neat stuff. Or maybe take him to the beach for the weekend. Think about what's important to him and you can't go wrong. how could you wait to today. i would have had that gift bought like since last year, seriously. but i can't tell you what to buy for him cause i don't know what i likes or doesn't like. in that case give him yourself, yup, wrap yourself in a bow, wear some sexy outfit. and then pounce on him. happy anniversary to both of u.

It is something only you and him could have the answer to. It doesn't have to be something spectacular or expensive...just something that he really likes or really wants.
My friends are married and they gave eachother a DVD set of a show they each liked.

It all depends on what he likes.
