If the fluid is low, you will have this problem. Check the level with the engine hot, in park and on level ground. Look at it. Should be a nice pink color. If it is dark brown, and smells burnt, then you will need to have the trans serviced with a new filter and fluids. Look at the filter or in the bottom of the pan, if there is excessive sediment in the pan, these are signs of clutch material wearing and this flush and filter may not work. May need to rebuild the trans or replace.

THE FRICTION BANDS COULD BE WORN AND IN NEED OF ADJUSTMENT. ALSO, CHECK YOUR FLUID. IT SHOULD BE BRIGHT PINK AND IT SHOULD SMELL LIKE OIL, IF IT SMELLS LIKE BURNT RASEBERRIES, YOUR TRANNY NEEDS THE FLIUD FLUSHED.
