I am a Taiwanese girl who is in Grade Eight, and I wanted to study in American High School. There's some questions I would like to ask:
(1) I am not from a wealthy family. How can I go to an American high school without spending too much money? Since my mom told me that if she provide me to go, there wouldn't be enough money to go to an American University anymore.
(2) What is it like in American High School? Is it hard for a Chinese girl like me to make friends with the local people?
(3) Can someone who had experience this before tell me which is better, go to American High School or University?
Please help me with these questions, I am making the biggest choice in my life now. Thanks a lot!!!

1. Public high schools are free to go to here. You only have to pay for private schools. There are also ways to get money help to pay for a university, such as financial aid, student loans and scholarships.
2. Most people are interested in meeting people from other countries. I'm sure you will have no problem finding friends.
3. A university is probably better because you have more freedoms, but in America, you go to High School for grades 9-12 and after you graduate from that, then you can go to a University or College.

Hope this helps :)

About your question, I think the best way to get your right answer,is:
Please go to an American High School in your area, and ask your questions from the High School Authorities. They would guide you in the best way.

God bless you and take care the Chinese bright moon.

Look into a student exchange program. As for learning, you will do fine. Schools in America have lower requirements for graduating then other countries. Heck I graduated with a fifth grade education.

the schools have low standards unless you go to a private school.
why do you have to go to american hs? the schools in taiwan are much better.
college here in expnesive too. if you qualify you can get a student loan that you have to pay when you get a job/graduate.
adjusting is up to you, if you're sociable then i guess it would be ok

I THINK YOU SHOULD WAIT FOR UNIVERSITY. kKIDS ARE OLDER AND MORE MATURE IN UNIVERSITY SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO ENDURE ALL THE HS GAMES AND POPULARITY CONTESTS. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND WAIT!
