It looks like to me they are gambling on that most audience members today are not old enough to remember The Gong Show! If this is the best they can do is pull up really old shows and dress them up to be new, then it is time to find an outside interest and stop watching TV!! I bought an ATV....Whaaaawhoooo!

This show was awful. I'd say no.

I spent most of my night watching something worthwhile: AFI's salute to Sean Connery...but I switched to America's Got Talent during breaks. It was horrible.

1. What the heck happened to Brandy? Is she so hard up for cash that she would willingly become the poor man's Paula Abdul?

2. David Hasselhoff. (nuff said)

(2.5--Hasselhoff's leather jacket was pretty heinous.)

3. There was a part that I particularly hated: This old lady sang poorly. They insulted her so badly, the poor woman looked as if they were physically hurting her...she was crying and everything.

AND 4. As a Domer...geez, Regis. What are you doin'? Don't give Notre Dame another reason to revoke your alumni privilages. (that ugly pink shirt you wore on the show was pushing it...)

it's not the greatest, and sadly, it will. America loves these shows and always will... even if it's not that good in reality. And as long as they can keep coming up with show ideas, they will watch. That just means more money for Simon Cowell and the rest of them.

I think the weird acts are what makes the show get high ratings, but it won't last long. American Idol will always be the best.

Too much of a GONG SHOW flashback.....there is some talent, but when it's mixed in with those who aren't gifted, it makes the whole show look amateurish.

They are trying really hard to come up with a show to rival American Idol. Remember when they tried to revive star search?
