Pence is from England. I believe there are 100 pence in a pound. In terms of how much it is worth in US, that varies on a daily basis based on conversion rate (which I'm sure you can find on yahoo.finance). Not sure what current rate is, but several years ago is was close to 2:1 (i.e. that 1 pound = $2). You can do the math from there to get pence.

Not sure if England has converted to Euro at this point, or if they are using both currencies.

Pence are the lowest currency unit in the UK. 100 make £1sterling . I dont know what the dollar rate is but you can work it out from that. Penny is one unit and is probably worth the same amount as 1 american cent.

1penny=1.5 or 2 US Cents.
It varies accordingly to the rate.

Maybe it would be best as "E Pluribus Unum", which was the original wording, seems to be much deeper than many seem capable of comprehending! As it also seems that history itself is a little confusing for many! Although one must really think why one has these words printed on their money but at the same time there is a pagan symbol, so maybe the next question should be in who's god do you trust!
