My 68 yr. old fiance's 32 year old married daughter and mother, opened his email containing an intimate correspondence from me. After she read it, she placed it back in the "you've got mail screen". She then got mad and told him she refused to have anything to do with me...and that I wasn't allowed to attend her baby's christening. Yes, I know, she's got issues.
What are your thoughts?

She's probably just trying to protect her father. If you are much younger than he is, closer to her age, she would probably think you're after his money or status or stability or something and that would be hard for her to tolerate. She's just in panic mode.
If you're closer to his age, maybe it has more to do with the reason he's not with her mother. Divorce? Death? She's just not up for a replacement for her mother in her dad's life. And yes... she has issues :)

I would say the woman has a problem with you being the fiancee'. She had no right to open your email in anything. I would change my log in passcodes for email and anything else that is passcoded so that her intrusiveness won't happen again!

She is an IDIOT. She has no business opening her fathers emails! I opened my boyfriends, but its because I knew he was cheating and I wanted the full story. He stupidly gave me the passwords, knowing what I would find anyway. Told me to look.

MY FIRST THOUGHT IS THAT SHE DOES NOT CARE FOR YOU DATING HER FATHER. SHE IS TRYING TO LIMIT HOW MUCH YOU ATTEND FAMILY FUNCTIONS. AND SHE SEEMS TO HAVE MUCH LOYALTY TO HER MOTHER, AND SHE WANTS YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM HER DAD.
