I know he has scored goals but i cant see him being up there with Rooney and with Beckham being a bit haphazard i cant see there being any advantage to playing crouch.

Who thinks Sven should let Theo have a go ???

oh my god!!!!

thank you!!!

the guy looks like he's going to break in half.

it also seems to me that he kinda just stands in the way of the ball and hopes that his tall frame will do the rest.

let anyone have a go.

he looks like he's accidentally walked on the field from a geek convention!!

(not that i have anything against geeks mind you.... lovely bunch)

Good Knowledge And Good Question
I Also Think That Walcott Should Be Given A Chance
Crouch , We Have Seen Against T & T He Missed 9 Shots
Defoe , Andy Johnson , Beattie Would Have Been A Better Choice Then Crouch
It Is High Time That Sven Goran Eriksson Plays Some Quality players , If Crouch plays Then Sure England Wont Win This World Cup.

Lets be honest, who in the team has actually played well consistently...

Ashley Cole that keeps falling over??
Joe Cole the one trick pony??
David Beckham that should of been defending the goal against Sweden and him and Carragher both just stood there... as did Ashley Cole!!

The only one that really has at the moment is Gerrard, and considering his had the longest season... imagine what he could do if he didn't...

Sven needs to just let Gerrard play where he wants, he does it at Liverpool, and his helped his club get the chances to play in the champions league 3 consecutive seasons, lift the European cup last year and the FA cup this year, in all honesty, surely he should be the captin??

As for Crouch, he scored 8 for Liverpool and he didn't get that much play, and if Theo was gonna get a go, it would of been in the game against Sweden where we were safely qualified...Why risk it now when we need to win, unless we're sitting comfortably on some of Stevie G's goals on Sunday, his gonna come on for the last 20 odd minutes, maybe not even that!!

If he scores thats the main thing. He's done much more than owen has and now that he's the only striker other than Rooney hes got to play. The only other option would be to put Joe Cole just behind rooney and lennon on the right wing. Hargreaves could take over the left wing as for once he has been playing well for england. But i say let crouch play!

I don;t think that he is that bad. I mean, BECKHAM SUX. I hate him. He never does anything, and even his kicks have lately been really off. Instead of taking Rooney off for Gerrard in the Sweden game they should have taken becks off because Rooney could have done a lot more, and he was MAD at being taken off, meaning that he probably was ok as far as his injury goes. I think taht Crouch is better than Beckham, even though that isn't saying much, but I do agree with you, he doesn't really do much,

Sven should definitely let Theo on, if only because Crouch runs like an old woman and I can't stand to look at him. Lanky git.

It's not all about scoring goals, Peter Crouch is good for knocking the ball on from corners, long balls etc. He is also good for defending....all down to his height of course.

But yes, give Theo a run. I would say that though as I'm a Gooner......Come on Arsenal, 06/07 is our season.

He is tall so obviously he can head the ball (1st goal vs Trinidad and Tobago) but he grabs someone almost everytime the ball is close to him which will probably get him in trouble, and more importantly he doesn't look like a soccer player.
by the way Porky, I think Beckham is extremelly overrated, but you don't make the England team at 17 and get a ridiculous amount of money to go to Real Madrid (the team of superstars who can't play together) if you suck.

crouch just looks uncomfortable when he has the ball.
what was the point in sven taking theo if he wasn't going to use him? i saw theo play at southampton, and i reckon he would be the perfect strike partner for rooney.

peter crouch commits too many fouls and has no phisique to be a good striker, He needs to get some muscle first and get his technique right.
Yes Theo or anybody is better than crouch. rooney deserves a better partner.

I don't think Crouch should play professional football let alone be selected for the first team in the world cup.
