I like it better than any crap, whether it is from today or from any other day in history.
Mind you, not that unoriginal 80's crap. That sucks big time.

I was born in the late 80's so i kinda miss what is was like to be in the 80's and what the music was like at that time.
Even though i said that i have heard a lot of 80's music and yeah it is better to a degree than today's music but today's music is also good and some is originalnality to it and it stays true to the artists singing it even though they might have been influenced by music of that decade or any other decade it's still original.
I know there is a lot of sampling going on now but both are good i really couldn't chose but if i had to i would lean more to today's music because it's my era and this is the music that i'm growing up to but i can see where your coming from because in twenty years from now i'll be saying to people that are my age now that this era of music is the best and that it beats any of the music that is present than so yeah i agree with you and know many people who would agree to but i'm have to be bias and say 90's - 00's music beats the 80's by a little bit.

The best rock music was made in the 60s and 70s. There was a lot of good music in the 80s too but the good songs were not as plentiful as they were before.
If you grew up in the eighties you didn't notice the drop in the number of good songs.
Good rock music is getting even rarer now.
There's too much rap, hip hop and stuff that doesn't belong in any category. Music fans are stretched too thin for any one genre to take over.
Everybody has their own preference in music so none of them stay on top long enough for everybody to hear them.
Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" was number one or in the top ten for more than a year. I got sick of hearing it.
Now a hit will last only till the next band drops a new CD.

Oh yes, I still listen to a lot of 80's music today. I like some of today's music too, though.

Now you're talking my language, lol!
There's nothing better than jamming out to 80's!!
I have several cd collections of 80's music and my kids love it. My daughter, age 12, knows all the words to Reo Speedwagon, Rod Stewart, She even knows the phone number for Jenny, hehe. My son, age 11, loves "Sweet Dreams" the orginal.
My kids know who Depeche Mode is, and they know who Sharona is, lol.
Man, gotta love the 80's!!!

I would have to say a lot of groups are influenced by the 80's music, they are all doing remakes of 80's songs.
The music from the 80's is awesome,

Yes, but I prefer the 60's and 70's rock..now that was original! The 60's gave birth to rock, the 70's expanded it..The 80's made it progressive..Just about every decade has its own style of music..Looking forward to something better to be born in these 2000's..=)...PS>>The 50's had rock n roll..rock is in its own catagory..=)
