Have you tried a different keyboard? Also try a USB keyboard.
Watch during the bootup and see if there is a key or key combination that you can press that will take you into the computer's setup. You usually have to press that key within the first couple of seconds of starting the PC.
If you can get into the setup, check and see if there is a place in the set up where you can turn on and off virus scanning. Some older PCs had a virus scan build into the BIOS. If you are getting the virus message before you get into Windows, it would have to be the BIOS giving the message. Turn off that virus scanning and hopefully then you will be able to get into Windows.
Then run a real virus scan on the PC to remove any viruses that are on it. Make sure your virus definitions are up to date. If you do not have a virus scanner, you can download AVG at grisoft.com for free (You may have to hunt a bit to find the "free" version, they keep moving it around).
Hope that helps

If you have access to another system make a startup disk either CD or Floppy and go from there, you might also want to logon to one of the virus makers sites and get some more info from them. You obviously have access to a system that is not affected so give it a go

try booting you PC in safe mode in windows from there try a virus software to see if it can find the problem otherwise you may have to reformat your harddrive and start from scratch but that may not always remove the virus.
