Secure connection. Normally appears when you are prompted for secure info like passwords, account numbers, ssno etc. Info that you wouldnt want to fall into the wrong hands.

Unless I am wrong it usually means it is a secure site, however if there is other s/ware running it could mean it has been locked out by someone
