How do they develop clients? Is there any software out there for Freight Brokerage?

Please don't answer unless you have something intelligent to contribute.

A broker arranges shipments and processes freight related paperwork and offer custom clearance services.

There are classes you must take and licences you must get.

Clients can be found through good old cold calling. Pick up the phone and start dailing.

To be honest freight brokers are a dying business especially since freight costs are exploding and because there are cheaper online alternatives (www.freightquote.com). The added value of a broker is limited unless you get involved with international shipments.
