the least painful parts are where there is a lot of flesh - such as the upper arm
the most painful is when the bone is close to the skin like shins and top of feet
all 3 of my tats went well ...
i have a black panther on 1 arm, a dragon on the other and a woman's name on my heart

On the thigh or buttock. Those spots don't seem to hurt as much, so I've heard.
I have one tattoo of an dying emerald dragon curled up in the small of my back. Hurt like the dickons, but, then again, I was only nine.
I tried to burn it off when I was fourteen. Didn't work.

The best place to get a tatoo so it won't hurt is on someone else. I've found that the upper arm hurts less than any place else.

I guess the back shoulder isn't too painful as long as it doesn't go up onto the neck, also above the ankle
get something that has meaning to you, maybe you play an instrument, or love cats ...or have a hobby.
it could be something common or unique,
you could go to a tattoo studio and look at their "flash" or bring them your ideas, or drawings and someone there can hook you up w/ some options.

the pain sometimes depends on the person if you have a low tolerance to pain any location will hurt . I have mine on my right shoulder blade and the only discomfort I felt was when he was towards the top of my shoulder...if you are not sure, then have the artist do a "dry run" where they just put the needle to your skin without ink. if you don't like the feeling then don't get one

I have a wolf on my right shoulder blade. I was about 23 when I got it. It hurt like the dickens. I also have one of a moose on my belly by my belly button, that did not hurt like what the wolf one did.Places on your body such as where theres less bone is the best place to get any type of tattoo,such as, knuckles, upper arm( more of a flab type of area), around the calves of your legs and near your breast.

Oh, it's gonna hurt no matter where you get it. It feels like they are cutting in to you with a knife. I have one on my lower back. They had a sign above the table that said "Think Orgasm". It didn't work!

If you would like a tattoo then get one on your eye! I'm only under 15 so I don't have one...I still use the rub-on ones!!!

I have one on my back which was painless.I actually enjoyed the sensation.My second tatt is near my ankle and there was a moderate amount of pain but it wasn't unbearable.I'm going for my third soon on my lower back.
