From 1965-1970 they were made in silver-clad.
It is silver bonded to copper with half the silver of the 1964.

1969D is about $3.00
1969S is about $8.00

If it is solid silver it is from a proof set, which makes it worth quite a bit more, but it is not worth a fortune. Check with a coin dealer.

uncirculated 0.50c proof and ancased 1.00; wait and hold into it for another 100 years and you can sell it perhaps 5.00
