Yes the big secrets came out - that the Swiss collaborated with the Nazis - they allowed transport trains to go through their country to concentration camps. They also were able to put a lot of money in anonymous untouchable Swiss bank accounts. Switzerland has always been traditionally neutral - but one thing that has stopped countries from invading is the terrain. It is a huge death trap for invaders because of the mountains. Napoleon had a heck of a time getting through there. I wouldn't be surprised if in the end - if Hitler had taken over Europe that Switzerland would have turned into another Vichy France.

Because the Swiss were an "Aryan" nation by his standards, they did not pose a military threat to Germany, they provided a useful place for unofficial contact with other nations, neutral or allied. Most importantly, invasion of Switzerland would have required a ridiculous amount of troops. This is a nation that had provided some of the best mercienaries in the world centuries before, and that had maintained its nuetrality by maintaining a militia-based military system. Fighting Switzerland literally meant(and means) fighting every adult male in the country, and given the terrain, the natives enjoyed a major advantage. So, Hitler chose to concentrate on places that were real threats to him, or what he imagined were real threats.

Hitler respected the neutrality of those countries that were useful to him, like Sweden. Switzerland was not completely subserviant to Germany, however. German pilots who strayed into Swiss air space still had their families arrested as hostages until they were returned.

switzerland was an stable country, if he had invaded it that would have messed up the value of the Swiss money, the Nazi were putting all the money and gold that were stolen in Switzerland, if they had invaded that country they would have lost that money. by the way, the Nazi treasure is still in Switzerland.

There was either money in ot or the fact that they didn't pose a threat to him may of made it impractical to attack them when he wanted to use such resources elsewhere.
