Most people are shallow (Take me for example - I can admit it!).
I don't agree with the war, but I support our troops 100%.
I work in the DoD/MoD field and I speak to grunts (well not Grunts, but their officers mostly) in the dirt everyday. I do my best to give them 100% away from the danger zone in hopes that it will help them come back in one piece.

Unfortunately, we all grow up with pre-conditioned prejudices. In some families, Catholics are hated; in others, blacks are hated. That's spiraled upward to include prejudice and hatred within the hallowed halls of our own U.S. government.
George Bush illegally and unconstituionally invaded another sovereign nation because he wanted to 'get even' with Saddam Hussein, whom his father hated, and because Dick Cheney wants all the oil that's swimming under Iraq's sands so his buddies at Halliburton can become even more obscenely wealthy than they already are.

Bush is the stupidest person ever to occupy the Oval Office, and it only happened because his wealthy family helped him steal an election (or two). The current U.S. Congress is the most corrupt, incompetent body ever to occupy the Capitol Building. Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld are the true anti-Christs, perhaps the two most evil human beings on the face of this Earth.
ALL of these megolomaniacs deserve to be impeached or tried for high treason against the USA. If convicted, they all deserve to face a public firing squad. Surely Satan has reserved a special, oil-saturated corner of Hell where they all can spend their eternal damnation blaming each other for the mess they've made of this world in just eight short years.
Unfortunately, even if we were able to throw all these crooked politicans out of office, they would only be replaced by crooked Democrats. Politicians are the scourge of our American political process. Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." That time is way overdue.
America needs another Revolutionary War where we all take up arms against an oppressive federal government and return to a democracy formed of the people, for the people, and by the people.
Wealthy elitists, rich corporations, lobbyists, and special interest groups all control politics today. It's time to forcefully change all that. Obviously, the courts, the media and the Electoral College can't (or won't) change anything (they, after all, are all part of the conspiracy).

In general people are people. Some think with they're head others with they're heart. Some are just selfish and lack empathy for anyone or anything thus there ignorance and shallowness thinking is impossible to hide. This war I believe is right and just to ensure our right to freedom. The freedom to not let others dictate the state of our economy. Also other countries freedoms. The freedom of religion for one. There are many different types of Muslims who in some countries cannot express there beliefs. Iraq was one of those oppressing nations. I pray that some day we will all be able to practice whichever religion chooses us. God bless America, and all free loving Muslims around the world.

I don't know if I would consider it shallow as much as afraid, ignorant and unimaginative.
Joe Blow is afraid of the people who are different from him. Those differences nullify his beliefs in his mind. Ignorance of the rest of the worlds' opinions means he can keep his head in the sand and believe he has it all figured out and everything is under control. I constantly find it amazing that it is almost impossible for most people to accept that the world is a complicated, chaotic place and they have almost no real control.
You believe one concept of reality, I believe another, put those beliefs together like puzzle with hundreds of others and you might come close understanding the real truths.

I respect what others believe as long as they don't get insulting and vulgar with all the hate Bush rhetoric and all the anti American stuff you see on here condeming republicans and conservatives calling us names and acting childish. I feel sometimes we have to respond and say we are not going take it anymore. There is a such thing as having class and arguing your point in a constructive manner and a lot of people get on here and in a mean spirited manner attack the beliefs of others and when they do, I refuse to sit by in a passive manner and accept it.

'anymore' is not a proper contraction in American English. You should type it 'any more', two separate words. Now, what were you asking?

Are you trying to persuade me into thinking/believing that we should not persuade others to think/believe the same as we do?
Just wondering.
