(3n - 2m) * (3n - 2m) FOIL method:

First: 3n * 3n = 9n^2
Outer: 3n * - 2m = - 6nm
Inner: -2m * 3n = -6nm
Last: 2m * 2m = 4m^2

9n^2 -12nm + 4m^2

9n^2 + 4m^2 -12nm {because (a-b)^2= a^2 + b^2 -2ab}
