it will never end. So long as rich women want to wear fur and expensive animal-tested cosmetics, it wont end.

This bugs me, also. I especially hate people who take their frustrations about their low-life selves out on poor little animals that they obtained for just that purpose, to have someone or something to kick around. They usually get away with it, too, whereas if they tried it with a person they would be put in jail. People need to report these things if they know an animal is being abused. This includes kicking, hitting, leaving an animal tied up outside, pushing an animals nose in it's excrement because it didn't "go" in the right place...etc. REPORT THESE PEOPLE!

This is a subject I've been wondering about for years.I've picked up so many stray dogs over the years mostly females because people are too dense to go get them spayed. And alot with mange, this is a disorder where all thier hair falls off and they scratch 24/7 people think you can't cure it, but it is cureable. and some have been thrown away just because.....It makes me so sick to my stomach to see all the animals that are mistreated and abused by cold-hearted sick people. No sweetie it will NEVER end, that's a sad fact.

To Angel Louie...
Regarding animal testing, who made the human race God? Why should we decide that it's ok to test cosmetics, human drugs etc on animals. How are they benefiting from it? You could turn round and say I wouldn't feel the same if a family member of mine depended on a drug to save their life and you may be right , but I still do not agree that it is acceptable to play God and decide that we have a 'right' because we are the 'top of the chain'.
Regarding cruelty in general, people that do this should be publically castrated then put in a pit with some particularly nasty/ferocious creatures so as to watch them beg until their last breath!

since the beginning of time man has killed animals mainly for food and clothing, nowadays it is for pretty much the same purpose i mean we need to eat and meat is an important part of our diets. some ppl do just treat animals with no respect at all this i think is because we seem to place ourselves higher up the food chain than any other creature so for a minority few they seem to think its ok to torure dogs or cats for a laugh and as for the fur trade that is just vanity and should be made illegal all over the world.

When people have enough of what they want that they are not concerned with animals. From an economics point of view when the gain from using animals for food/clothes is less then the cost of killing and processing the animals. there will always be sadistic weirdos around and until all disease is cured and perfumes use synthetic ingredients and what not then it will be there.

In England, we treat our animals very well, indeed if we didn't, the authorities would be on to us.
However, in other countries I have visited, not everyone has the same respect for animals. In Africa, I have seen donkeys tied up to trees in baking hot sun with no access to shade or water. I have seen horse and camels illtreated and dogs treated as though they are nothing. It's heartbreaking.

It will never end as long as there is an animal alive. The only way would to be shoot every human and leave the animals in peace.
Only one thing wrong is who will fire the last bullet.

I hope your not referring to animal testing as I believe its very necessary in some cases. However I do think killing and torturing animals for entertainment is wrong

As some people can't even treat children with respect and love, there's no chance that animals will ever be treated kindly, I'm afraid.
