I know the old testament rules that Moses wrote for the Hebrew nation condemned it, as it did masterbation and cooking meat and milk together. I want to know where it says in the new testament that it's a sin. My understanding is that Christ released us from the old testament rules when he died for our sins. My understanding from Christ's words is that the big 10 are the rules to live by (first 4 being man's relationship to God and the last 6 being Man's relationship to man). I would like to know where in the bible it says it....

Go to this site. It will give a different view of the bible's statements on homosexuality, or lack thereof. I wish every Christian would read this and challenge themselves to really study it, but, unfortunately most won't.

If you are a literalist (I am not, and for a good solid understanding of why, I suggest the new book "Misquoting Jesus" by Bart Erhman from Harper Collins -- its an excellent layman's explanation of why nearly all top theologians are non-literalists) but if you are a literalist, then the only scriptures that will normally be quoted from the New Testament are from the Pauline Writings, and those are open to heavy interpretation, even for literalists.

May I suggest a couple of websites that you might find helpful to you. The second one listed in the source group will take you to a page where you can download a pdf publication. The first is Soulforce and the last is the United Church of Christ -- these are pages that agree with your basic premise in the question -- the idea that God accepts all people.

Leviticus 18:22, You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, it is an abomination. NRSV Christ also said "I have come to fufill the law not destroy it" When God made male and female he made us to complement each other. Man and his free will and sinful nature corrupt the order of things.

Actually, it doesn't say homosexuality is a sin. It says the act of it is a sin. That's where "Hate the sin, not the sinner" came from.

Just because the people who wrote the bible were ignorant and judgemental, does not mean what is written is "right".

if you know the story of sodoma and gomora ,both cities were burnt completely by God because they were raping all the travelers
