Acne is basically oil built up on the surface of your skin, notice that this isn't something that just happens to people who tend badly to their skin, no, it happens to everybody during one course of their life or another. The best ways I have found to overcome acne is:

1. Wash your face on a daily basis, only TWICE throughout the day, once the moment you wake up and once the moment before you go to sleep.
2. It is clinically proven, that the best way to keep acne away is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Always eat healthy and keep a balance.
3. Do not over-do the make-up thing, people wear cover up to hide their blemishes but the more you add to it, the more dirt and grim it collects to add onto your acne.
4. Steaming your face is basically the best way to clear your pores. Light up a pot of water until it reaches it's boiling point, lower the flame to a low intensity, yet enough to keep the water boiling. Grab a towel place it over your head and place your head above the boiling pot. Do this for ten minutes, at the minimal twice a week to keep your face clear of clogged pores.
5. Avoid touching your face with your hands, your hands collect oil throughout the day and it also secretes it's own oils, so don't touch that pimple with your fingers, it'll just add to it.
6. Avoid using multiple cleaning solutions, just stick to one, it'll heal over time.
7. Don't pop your pimples, it'll leave scars.
8. Don't over stress yourself, acne doesn't heal over night, but care for it correctly and it'll eventually fade away.

And lastly if your acne is really acting up, I'd really recommend seeing a dermatologist, they can do wonders!

Hope this helps!

Frankly I would see a naturopath. A VAST majority of skin conditions are due to diet. The skin is the place where problems in the large intestine show up. Using topical solutions might work temporarily - and sometimes it is hormonal - but in most cases diet can make a HUGE difference. I know it does with animals with skin conditions as well. If you're really serious - see a naturopath - and follow the diet regimene to the letter and I'd bet big bucks your skin will clear up - not to mention you'll feel awesome!! I've also heard that light suntanning can help too.

If you want to model I would seek out the best dermatologist in your area for assistance. Don't pick and don't wear cosmetics that clog pores. I'd even contact some modeling agencies and inquire if they have any referrals for dermatoligst. Have you tried birth control pills? They sometimes straighten your hormones out -- but check with your GYN.

I can understand your frustration. When one is six feet tall and slender, attntion is called upon from right and left. Yeah, your face better be clean. I personally recommend Mary Kay, different skin types require different creams, I'd say, Mary Kay is your safest and best option.

Also, help yourself, while products help you, nutrition counts. Keep a healthy diet and drink plenty of water.

Mary Kay - definitely. Their consultants will work with you until you have the right combination for your skin. My sister is a consultant and she worked with me until we found the right balance for my skin. If you don't have a consultant yourself go to www.marykay.com (or www.marykay.ca if you're in Canada) and there's an area there where you can find a consultant in your area.
