OK, this should go in Hobbies and Crafts, not Women's Studies. But since I've come across this--
ribbing would go like this: Cast on even number of stitches. Row 1: *k1, p1. Row 2:*p1, k1.
moss/seed stitch is like this: Cast on even number of stitches. Row 1:*k1, p1. Row 2: *k1, p1. Or as I like to do it, Cast on odd number of stitches. *k1, p1 all rows.
