A lot of men get off on that kind of thing... their imaginations go wild and, if with other guys, it's a chance to talk and act all macho; while if alone, they just may actually 'get it off' by watching and fantasizing. It's sad actually... many of the females are quite good-looking and there they are, stark naked and parading for a roomful of losers who wouldn't have a chance to ever have such a woman in their life. Sadder still is the effect it has over time on the women... the money is big for showing themselves off, but after a little time, that can be doubled or more by choosing to prostitute themselves to their 'admirers' after the show. Sad. Dangerous.

Not to sound like "Mr. Obvious", it's the same reason why men subscribe to magazines like "Playboy" and "Penthouse" and watch Cinemax late at night--to see naked women. Men are visual creatures (which is why most porn movies that are aimed at men are light on plot and heavy on nudity and sex) and they enjoy the sight of a beautiful naked woman. And this is the easiest way to do that.
Now, the question might be "why do you need to do that if you have a woman at home who has no problem being naked in front of you?". The answer to that is "variety". While the man may love, honor and cherish the woman he's with and never ever stray, that doesn't mean he won't glance at another beautiful woman and fantasize what it would be like to spend an hour or so with her. Thus, strip clubs provide a form of "legal cheating"--he fantasizes in his mind what it would be like to be with her with no intention of ever actually doing it, thereby remaining faithful to his wife/girlfriend.

I went to a strip club on stag do (bachelor party for those of you in the US) I had a girlfriend at the time and they are great fun as long as you dont take it seriously. I wouldn't go by myself or if I was single coz it would be a bit sad...... I wish I could earn what they do at the rate they do........but I don't think people would pay much to see ma bod!

We don't HAVE to go. We WANT to go. It's a visual/fantasy deal. (A guy's a fool, if he goes thinkin he'll get lucky with a dancer) I would'nt let it bug ya too much. Guys are mostly stimulated visually, so any woman no matter how gorgeous can become mundane when seen daily. T'ain't a bad reflection on you. Think of it as "stirring the pot" it's a change or wakeup, so that next time he sees ya, he'll really see ya; and remember how beautiful you are to him.
Lol, though, it's another matter if the guy blows his paycheck on lap dances.

You know... I have no clue.
I'm as horny as the next guy... maybe even worse... but honestly... I have NO DESIRE to go to a strip club, full or partial.
I think it's because to me... it's like going to an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET, and not being able to EAT.
Seriously... why would I subject myself to that? It's like a tease to me.
So... to answer your question... I have no clue why a man would go at all.
